Some gifts are hard to get wrong. A song that belongs to two people — the one from the first dance, the one that was playing on a particular drive, the one a parent always had on — is already meaningful before you have printed anything. The job of the gift is just to give it a place on the wall.
Here is what we make, how to choose between the formats, and what we need from you.
A note if you came here looking for acrylic plaques
We used to make acrylic song plaques with a scannable code, and they were popular. We no longer make them. Everything below is the print version of the same idea — the artwork, the lyrics and the scannable code, produced on paper or canvas instead of acrylic. If you had your eye on a plaque, the song lyrics canvas is the closest thing we do now.
The three formats
Song lyrics print
The lyrics themselves, set as the artwork, personalised with your names and a date. This is the one people choose for a first dance or an anniversary, where the words are the point. Song lyrics print, from £17.95.
Vinyl record print with a scannable code
A vinyl record design built around your photo, with a code that opens the track when someone scans it. It works as a gift and as a talking point, because visitors can actually play the song off the wall. Vinyl record print, from £17.95.
Song lyrics poster
A cleaner, more typographic treatment for anyone who wants the words without the record design. Song lyrics poster, from £17.95.
How to choose
- Is the song or the photo the gift? If it is the song, choose a lyrics print. If you want a picture of the two of them on the wall as well, choose the vinyl record print.
- Where will it hang? The record design carries colour and suits a busier wall. The typographic poster sits better in a plain room.
- Framed, canvas or print? Framed arrives ready to hang. Canvas has a softer, gallery finish. A print on its own is the cheapest option and lets you use a frame you already own.
What we need from you
- The song — artist and title is enough, we will find it.
- The lines you want, if you only want part of the lyrics.
- Names and a date, where the design includes them.
- A photo, for the designs that use one. Send the original file rather than a screenshot or a social media download — our photo guide explains why.
